2019 Los Angeles Auto Show – Volkswagen Announces ID Space Vizzion Concept

The ID Space Vizzion is a concept of large station wagon with electric motorization. Volkswagen is already announcing a production version for 2021.

While the first production model has just been presented, the ID concept family continues to grow. Volkswagen has just announced that it will present the ID Space Vizzion on November 19 at the Los Angeles Motor Show. The brand gives a good taste with several designs.

If you have a good memory, you remember the ID.Vizzion, unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. This new prototype is therefore its station wagon version. A production variant is already confirmed for 2021, shortly after the sedan.

Not surprisingly, the concept is based on the new platform dedicated to VW electrics, the MEB. The brand already evokes significant autonomy: 590 km with the new WLTP certification cycle.

The sketches show a different front side from the sedan concept, with a light strip on the station wagon that passes at the top of the logo and extends into the wings. At the rear, the lights will be thicker. Distinctive feature of the IDs: the chromium above the side glazing will fall back at the level of the quarter panel as it thickens.

Volkswagen therefore intends to multiply the electric models, to meet all expectations! The first serial ID, the compact 3, was unveiled in September and will join the dealerships in spring 2020. Next year, we will also discover a first SUV ID series.
