Renault unveils a 340hp Zoe for the Andros Trophy

The new season of the Andros Trophy will start very soon. And this year, Renault has planned a radical Zoe with an additional engine. Result: four-wheel drive and 340 hp.

The electric fairy is well established and for a number of years in the Andros Trophy, which definitively dropped the four-cylinder petrol in favor of permanent magnet motors. Indeed, the new season, which will start in early December in Val Thorens, will make almost no noise, except for the crushing of the countless tire studs on the ice of these winding tracks.

And among these silent machines, a somewhat unusual Renault Zoe. Two engines instead of one, and 340 hp / 1600 Nm available at any time on a car that does not exceed 1200 kg, despite 33 kWh batteries.

Obviously, there is only one step before imagining a Zoe RS approved with two engines, as in this configuration. Renault has already hinted that a Renault Sport electric car will be a possibility, but it should be borne in mind that this Andoe Trophy Zoe is very heavily modified. The “civil” Zoe is not, in fact, a model of dynamism and the chassis should need a lot of changes to follow the Zoe E-Sport concept…
