The mule of the future electric Skoda takes the light

The Skoda Vision iV concept introduced at the Geneva Motor Show last March will not be without consequences. The proof with this prototype development of the electric SUV disguised as a Volkswagen Tiguan.

Make no mistake: the car visible in these images is not a Volkswagen Tiguan. The Czech firm Skoda is discreetly preparing its future trendy raised vehicle. These images brought back by the spy photographer from the American publication Carscoops prove it.

On the pictures, difficult to say what will be the final lines of the model. The body parts of the Volkswagen Tiguan fulfill their role perfectly: hiding the real origin of the car. A clue nevertheless betrays what is hidden under this astonishing vehicle. The license plate from the Czech Republic leaves no doubt about the make of the car tested by the engineers on the north loop of the Nürburgring.

According to corridor noises, the Skoda electric SUV will be produced in the Mladá Boleslav factory next year. As a reminder, the Vision iV salon study was based on the Volkswagen MEB group platform with a range of around 500 kilometers and an engine of 306 horsepower. Skoda promised at the same time an 80% recharge in just 30 minutes on a suitable terminal.
